Information

The Skuut is a wooden bike for children ages 2 - 6. It has no pedals and no training wheels. Children kick off the ground as if running, thus pushing or “skoot-ing” themselves and the bike forward. The Skuut is perfect for learning balance, steering, coordination and independence.Having mastered balance on the Skuut, the transition to a traditional two wheeler bike is easy (without training wheels!).

  • Tyres: Pneumatic pressurized tyres 30cm (12inches)
  • Seat: The Skuut V2 seat is now covered in leather-like polyurethane. There is also now double the amount of padding than the original for an increased comfort level.

Is there assembly required?

  • The Skuut comes fully assembled except for the seat post, handlebars and front wheel, which are easily attached. Instructions and Allen/Hex keys are provided.

What are the tires made of?

  • The tires are pneumatic rubber with a regular 12 inch tube. They can tolerate up to 40PSI, but we suggest 20-25 PSI for best shock absorption. The valves are typical tyre valves - a regular bicycle pump will pump them up.

Is there a warranty?

  • We guarantee all Skuuts to be free of manufacturing defects for up to one year.

Care of your Skuut.

  • Skuuts are pretty hardy, but when your Skuut gets wet or has been to the beach, do clean it off with a moist cloth, and dry it. It shouldn’t be left outside in the rain or direct sun.

How do you pronounce Skuut?

  • (skoot) as in boot, loot, scoot

Shipping and Delivery Info

  • Skuuts are sent via Australia Post - often the same day that you order, almost always within one business day of your order.
  • The box is clearly marked (photos etc) so if your Skuut needs to be a surprise, you might consider an alternate
    delivery address.

Are your products really in stock?

Yes, yes yes! Our products that are in stock ARE IN STOCK. If a product in our store is out of stock then it will say OUT OF STOCK. When customers purchase from this site it automatically updates our inventory, so the cart will not allow you to purchase and charge you for something that is NOT IN STOCK. Our store system is professional and reliable and makes YOU the customer very happy to shop with us!

How much is postage within Australia?

We offer FREE POSTAGE for all orders to Australian addresses. If you wish to register your postal order, we are happy to do this for an additional cost of AU$3.00. Please select this option as an extra in your shopping cart.

How much is postage for International orders?

All international orders are sent via air mail and we provide our customers with an International Express Post tracking number. Call 0410-513-013 to make arrangements and for a quote.

When can I expect my parcel?

We usually process orders the same or next business day that we receive them. Should there be a delay in processing we will notify you via email or phone. Please allow up to 2-3 business days for delivery. Delivery time may be longer in some remote areas of Australia. If you wish to pay extra for next day delivery within Australia then please please select that option in our shopping cart and call or text us with your order details to confirm (0410-513-013).

How can I make my payment?

Payment can be made by VISA or Mastercard with a safe and secure re-direction to our ANZ eGate account. We also accept VISA, Mastercard or American Express through PayPal. You may also pay by direct deposit or by cheque or money order.

What is your preferred payment method?

Credit card is our preferred payment method as it allows us to process your order quickly, ensuring you receive your products promptly within 2-4 business days. We use a secure re-direction to either your choice of our ANZ eGATE or PayPal accounts for collecting your credit card details - it is fast, safe and secure. Once you choose your payment method, you will be transferred to either site after submitting your order to finalise the transaction.

Can I select Direct Deposit (AnyPay/EFT)?

Yes. If you select Direct Deposit you will be provided our account details by email after you have completed the checkout procedure in full. Please ensure you include your full name as the payee for our records, in order to verify payment. Your order will be processed once funds have cleared into our account. Do you accept Cheque / Money Order?

We accept payment by cheque or money order in Australian dollars ONLY. Your order will not be processed until your funds have cleared. Please post your cheque and a printed copy of your invoice to us for processing. Please make cheques and money orders payable to: The Growing Space Pty Ltd, PO Box 1004, Pasadena SA 5042. Our registered trading address is 21 King William Street, Kent Town SA 5067, but this is not a retail outlet. Please do not send mail here, but use our regularly checked Pasadena PO BOX.

Do you issue returns?

We offer a replacement on any item that is faulty. If an item is received in error on our part we will also offer a full refund or replacement. We do however request that you notify us of any such problems within 7 days of receipt of product.
